Homework/Classwork Assistance
Students have various times to work on assignments or receive help at school: sometimes during class, during morning resource (M/W/F 8:30-9:00am), or after school - if arranged with Ms. Barnes or Ms. Hagerty. We welcome UO student teacher Eric Renner.

New Lit Unit: The Outsiders
Students have checked out a copy of The Outsiders from the school's collection and will be expected to read chapters that will be assigned daily. Throughout this unit there will be related activities, writing assignments and quizzes. Periods 3, 4, 5 and 6 are all studying this book, but Period 3 will cover some aspects differently with Mr. Renner.

By Tue 2/22 - read Ch 5/6
By Wed 2/23 - read Ch 7
By Thu 2/24 - read Ch 8
By Fri 2/25 - read Ch 9
By Mon 2/28 - read Ch 10

Per 4, 5, 6:
Outsiders - emerging themes, social survey, Venn diagram
Per 3:
Outsiders - power and health within social classes; journal/green book study guide - one activity page per chapter. Past due assignments: personal survey; long journal entry from 2/15; Pony, Cherry and self activity; open mind; grocery store activity (due 2/23).
