Homework/Classwork Assistance
Students have various times to work on assignments or receive help at school: sometimes during class, during morning resource (M/W/F 8:30-9:00am), or after school - if arranged with Ms. Barnes or Ms. Hagerty. UO student teacher Eric Renner has concluded his time at Monroe and we thanked him for his time with us.

Lit Unit: The Outsiders

All Outsiders essays (final copy typed or written neatly in ink, stapled to drafts and quotation sheets), journal entries and/or written assignments were DUE the week of March 6th. If you have not turned yours in, speak with Ms. Barnes. All Outsiders books must be returned to the school library when essays are finished.

New Unit
We will soon be studying poetry. Feel free to explore poetry beforehand - online, in the school library or at a public library.


Anne Frank - A Contemporary Ballet
We will be going on a field trip to see this special presentation at the Hult Center on April 1st. Permission slips have been sent home. Slips and $5 admission, or a request for scholarship, were due by March 16th . Last chance to turn these in will be right after spring break We also need chaperones to assist - please consider helping the eighth graders enjoy this special opportunity.
